Selous Safari

4 days / 3 nights

Tanzania’s Nyerere National Park (the Selous). Nyerere National Park (previously Selous Game Reserve) is located in southern Tanzania and offers visitors an exclusive and untamed safari experience. It is larger than Switzerland and has only a few tiny sites.

One of the top sites to visit in Tanzania is the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Miombo woods, open grasslands, wetlands, and the Rufiji River make up the park’s 5 million hectares. The density and diversity of species in Nyerere National Park is higher than in any other miombo forest area. It’s an important habitat for endangered wild dogs, who live alongside crocodiles, lions, leopards, hippopotamuses, elephants, black rhinos, buffalo, and more than 400 bird species.

Follow wild dogs as they race through the bush in search of warthog and antelope on game drives. As you cruise down the river, you’ll see hippo pods cooling off in the water.
