Serengeti Serena Safari

5 days / 4 nights

The Serengeti has long been regarded as one of Africa’s most stunning wildlife-rich locations, and it certainly lives up to its name, never failing to captivate one’s heart as you are confronted with all of Africa’s romanticism and drama. It is located in Tanzania’s northwestern region, with an unseen boundary with Kenya’s Masai Mara. The Serengeti ecosystem is a unique ecosystem in Africa.

Seeing some of Kenya’s two million wildebeest attempt to cross the hazardous Mara River in search of fresh grass is an amazing experience, as is game driving on the vast plains with no other person or vehicle in sight. The Serengeti is usually the final point of a Northern Circuit Safari, and the regions we propose are distant, starkly gorgeous, and deserted.

DAY 1

Lake Manyara National Park

On arrival at Kilimanjaro international Airport, you will be met by your driver guide. A short introduction before your start your journey. Enjoy a scenic drive as you pass though Arusha town and arriving at the lodge for lunch. Relax before preparing to go for a game drive around Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree climbing lions.

Dinner and overnight at Manyara Serena Lodge.

DAY 2

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Serengeti is home to over 70 larger mammals, approximately 500 different types of birds and the largest migration of land animals on the planet: more than two million mammals roam its 30,000 square kilometers.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.

DAY 3

Serengeti National Park

Full day game viewing around the Central Serengeti! The valley’s river keeps the vegetation plentiful. Wildebeest, zebras, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and many other species can be spotted here on any given day. The large amount of prey also draws the highest population of predators. The golden grassland rustles with the movement of roaming lions, cheetahs and hyenas.

This is also one of the best places to find the park’s elusive leopards. You’re bound to stumble across hippos at the other Serengeti watering holes, but nothing can compare to the spectacle of the Retina Hippo Pool. Situated where the Seronera and Orangi rivers converge, the Retina Hippo Pool consist of a deep puddle of water with roughly 200 sloshing, playing hippos. Your guide will find a spot where you can enjoy your picnic lunch.

Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge.

DAY 4

Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

Depart from Serengeti and drive to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. Descent into the crater to experience the majestic beauty of caldera. The NGORONGORO CRATER, at 2286m above the sea level, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters from the crater floor. It is truly a breath-taking natural wonder. Continue your drive towards Serengeti National Park. (At an additional cost paid, the driver/ guide can arrange a tour of the Maasai Village including a briefing on their culture and a few dances).
